NATYCAA Elects 2012-13 Officers and Executive Committee Members

CLEVELAND – The members of the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) selected Jim Forkum, director of athletics at Santa Rosa College, to serve as President for 2012-13.

“Gary Broadhurst was an outstanding leader for our organization throughout 2011-12,” stated Forkum.  “I want to thank everyone that helped make the 2012 Convention another great success, including our sponsors and Executive Committee members.  I’m looking forward to an exciting year in 2011-12 as we continue our commitment to advance two-year college athletics.”

Also elected to serve NATYCAA during 2012-13 were 1st Vice President Jack Sullivan, AD at County College of Morris; 2nd Vice President Tim Drain, AD at Tyler Junior College; 3rd Vice President Kulwant Singh, AD at De Anza College; Secretary Brenda Hampton, AD at Iowa Western CC; and Treasurer Scott Barlow, AD at Lakeland CC.

2012-13 Executive Committee members include the following directors of athletics: Dudley “Skip” Bailey, Munroe CC; Wayne Baker, Odessa College; Art Becker, Scottsdale CC; Ron Case, Gloucester County College; Bob Clement, West Hills College – Lemoore; Don Dutcher, Herkimer CC; Albert Gasparian, Golden West College; Charles Guthrie, Clark College; Marci Henry, Northeastern Junior College; Rick Hitt, South Florida CC; John Jackson, Dean College; Jay Mehroff, East Central College; Bob Peters, Centralia College; John Scarpino, Seminole CC; Greg Silcox, Paradise Valley CC; Doug Spiwak, Harper College; Doug Stotler, Jefferson College; Joe Tubb, South Plains College; and Troy Tucker, Northampton CC.  Also serving on the Executive Committee are Marco Azurdia, executive director, Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges; Carlyle Carter, CEO/president, California Community College Athletic Association; Mary Ellen Leicht, executive director, National Junior College Athletic Association; and LuAnn Zimmick, assistant director of athletics, College of DuPage.
