NATYCAA Elects 2010-11 Officers and Executive Committee Members

CLEVELAND – The members of the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) selected John Volek, dean/director of athletics at Sierra College, to serve as President for 2010-11. “Carl Heinrich did an outstanding job of leading us during 2009-10,” stated Volek. “I want to thank everyone that helped make the 2010 Convention a great success, including our sponsors and executive committee members. I’m looking forward to another exciting year in 2010-11.” Also elected to serve NATYCAA during 2010-11 were 1st Vice President Gary Broadhurst, AD at Mohawk Valley CC; 2nd Vice President Jim Forkum, AD at Santa Rosa Junior College; 3rd Vice President Jack Sullivan, AD at County College of Morris; Secretary Brenda Hampton, AD at Iowa Western CC; and Treasurer Scott Barlow, AD at Lakeland CC. 2010-11 Executive Committee members include the following directors of athletics: Art Becker, Scottsdale CC; Bob Bottger, St. Louis CC at Meramec; Bobby Bowman, Pasco-Hernando CC; Ron Case, Gloucester County College; Bob Clement, West Hills College – Lemoore; Tim Drain, Tyler Junior College; Rick Hitt, South Florida CC; John Jackson, Dean College; Barry Janusch, Olympic College; Jay Mehroff, East Central College; Michael Rickard, Owens CC; John Scarpino, Seminole CC; Kulwant Singh, De Anza College; Thomas Stewart, Holyoke CC; Jeff Thies, Central Arizona College; Joe Tubb, South Plains College; and Troy Tucker, Northampton CC. Also serving on the Executive Committee are Carlyle Carter, executive director, California Commission on Athletics; Mary Ellen Leicht, executive director, National Junior College Athletic Association; Dick McClain, executive director, Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges; and LuAnn Zimmick, assistant director of athletics, College of DuPage.
