Kulwant Singh is the Athletics Director at De Anza College located in Cupertino California. De Anza has an enrollment of about 24,000 full-time equivalent students. Kulwant has been at De Anza since 1990 and the Athletics Director since 2004. De Anza College Athletics offers 19 Sports programs for Men and Women. It is now one of the largest athletic departments in California with about 450 student-athletes. There are about 60 coaches, staff, and administrators that comprise the DeAnza College Athletics Department: 15 Head Coaches, 35 Assistant Coaches, and 10 Staff and Administrators. De Anza College was named the Coast Conference All Sports Champion in both 2008-09 and 2007-08. In fact, the college has been the All-Sports Champion in the 17-college Coast Conference 15 times in the past 25 years. According to Institutional Research, De Anza student-athletes have an average GPA of 3.22 during the past three years. Most years, De Anza has several All-Americans, All-West, All-California, All-NorCal, and All Coast Conference student-athlete award recipients. In addition to serving on the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Executive Board, Kulwant is a member of the Management Council of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA). He is the CCCAA representative for Men's & Women's Cross Country. Kulwant's coaching background is in Men's and Women's Soccer with two National, four State, and 16 Coast Conference championships. He is a two-time National & Regional Coach of the Year. Additionally, Kulwant served 18 years with the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) Olympic Development Program (ODP). He served as World Cup, Assistant Competition Director at the San Francisco Site and Stanford University venue in 1994. Kulwant has a BS and MS in Kinesiology and Physical Education from California State University, Hayward. |
