Michelle Ruble graduated from La Plata High School and participated in volleyball, basketball, softball, band, cheerleading, and SGA. Her high school honors include the prestigious Scholar Athlete of the Year award and many All-SMAC and All-County honors. She earned her bachelors degree and continued her volleyball career at Elon University, North Carolina, where she was a three-year captain and an Academic All-American. Michelle went on to later earn her master's degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Michelle began her career in athletics as the head volleyball coach at CSM in 1991, was hired into a full-time position as Athletic Coordinator in 2001, and promoted to the Director of Student Life and Athletics in 2007. Among her awards and honors in her tenure at CSM are MDJUCO Coach of the Year for volleyball in 2002 and MDJUCO Athletic Director of the Year for 2002-03. Michelle serves on the NJCAA Executive Committee, serves as the NJCAA chair for Nominations and Elections as well as Women's Lacrosse, and is the NJCAA Women's Regional Director for Region XX (Maryland, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania). |
