Why did you become involved in NADIIIAA and what has the experience been like so far
As an athletic administrator it is important to be involved with the organizations that provide opportunities/information/materials for professional growth.  NADIIIAA is an organization that provides a lot of important information and people to network with and grow from.

So far it has been good to be a part of and I appreciate the people that I have had the opportunity to meet.

What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment to date?
Streamlining our compliance processes and being able to communicate to our coaches what is needed from them and their athletes from a compliance perspective.  Helping build our Student Athlete Services staff and getting that group organized.

What is the most important skill you have developed in your career?
Learning how to interact and effectively work with different groups of people from different areas of the college community (alums, administrators, students, staff, coaches, recruits...)

What is your favorite part of being involved in DIII athletics?
My favorite part is supporting the coaches and their athletes.  Attending their games and supporting the athletes and showing them that you have an interest in their sport.  It is also enjoyable and fulfilling to help a coach with different aspects of their job and then see how he/she has then positively affected their athletes because of the interaction that you had with them.

If you didn’t have a career in DIII athletics administration, what would you be doing
Coaching at the DIII level.

What is your favorite place to visit?
Went with a D3 football program to visit Italy and it was an awesome experience.  I would recommend it to every D3 college athletic program if they can do it.  It was a great life experience for the athletes.

What is your favorite sporting event you have ever attended?
Going to the Cotton Bowl and the Fiesta Bowl have been my favorite sporting events.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
I can't give you the formula for success but I can give you the formula for failure- try and make everyone happy!  If you try to do that you will fail!
