NACMA Announces Mike Cleary Convention Stipend Winners

CLEVELAND – The National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) has announced its 16 winners of this year’s Mike Cleary Convention Stipend Program. These 16 individuals will attend the 2012 NACMA Convention which will take place from June 25-28 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

“We once again received a high number of well-qualified applicants for both stipend programs and we would like to thank everyone that applied,” stated NACMA Awards Committee Chair Becky Parke, director of marketing & communication for the Sun Devil Club at Arizona State University. “On behalf of NACMA, I want to congratulate this year’s winners. We look forward to having these winners at our Convention in Dallas, as NACMA continues to look for ways to give back to the profession and help support aspiring marketing administrators.”

The Association identified 10 student members, who are looking to advance their collegiate marketing careers to attend the 2012 Convention. Each student will receive the Student Stipend worth $800.

The following students were selected by the NACMA Awards Committee to receive the student stipends – Nick Batista, University of Montana; Nathalie Carter, Tiffin University; Katie Caliendo, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University;

Leah Gross, Marquette University; Katie Lee, University of San Francisco; Chelsi Medved, Kansas State University; Nick Peterson, Seattle University; Marty Summa, University of Connecticut; Kelby Weiter, Illinois State University and Lindsay Waters, University of Central Missouri.

For the second year in a row, the Association selected six members with three years or less experience in the industry to utilize the Entry-Level Convention Stipends. The following individuals were selected by the NACMA Awards Committee to receive stipends – Sundeep Dhillon, University of California Berkeley; Rachael Doyle, University of Oregon; Alicia Mackey, University of Akron; Patrick Neal, Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne; Jamie Schiferl, University of Cincinnati; Stephanie West, Northern Kentucky University
