CLEVELAND – The National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) Young Professionals (YP) committee hosted the #NACMAYP Live Chat: Low Cost – Big Return Ideas on Wednesday, January 18th which proved to be a great new forum for sharing best practices for all who participated.
NACMA Board Member Amber Lilyestrom, associate AD/marketing & communications at the University New Hampshire, joined NACMA Advisor Tracie Hitz, chief marketing officer at Old Hat Creative and Brian Bowsher, director of marketing & sales at Marquette University led the chat.
Bowsher introduced some examples of successful low cost initiatives and fan engagement strategies to generate discussion among the live chat participants. Participants submitted questions directly in the chat and on Twitter using the hash tag #NACMAYP, which were discussed and answered by Bowsher and other NACMA members participating in the live chat. The nearly 80 participants contributed over 200 comments, questions and answers during the session.
“We want to thank everyone that participated in Wednesday’s Live Chat and helped make it so impactful,” stated Lilyestrom. “We encourage NACMA members to continue to share ideas and discuss potential chat topics in the Online Library Forum section, as the YP committee plans to host a Live Chat each month leading up to Convention."
