Greg Herring, assistant athletics director for marketing and sales, just completed his fifth year at The University of Southern Mississippi with oversight duties of athletics marketing, ticket sales and the university's licensing programs. During his tenure at Southern Miss, Herring has increased the Golden Eagle season ticket sales and attendance across the board in all sports, and has grown the programs advertising trade and outreach by nearly three times of what it was upon his arrival.

Prior to his arrive in Hattiesburg in 2003, Herring spent two years at the University of Missouri as the assistant director of marketing where among many things he managed a half million dollar groups sales campaign. Herring also spent time with the University of Florida Athletics Association as a marketing Intern.

Herring is a 1999 graduate of Miami University (OH) with a B.S. and recently completed his Master of Science in Sport Management with a concentration in Sports Event Security Management at Southern Miss.

Herring also serves his professional organization, NACMA, previously as the Conference Representative for Conference USA, now on the association's Board of Directors.
