Jamie DiLoreto, who is entering his 16th year at Boston College, was named assistant athletics director for external operations in 2002 and promoted to associate athletics director for external operations in May 2007. DiLoreto joined the Boston College athletics staff as a ticket office assistant in 1993. He served in that position until December 1999 when he was named sports marketing manager. DiLoreto assumed the head administrative duties in the External Operations Office on an interim basis in September 2001. Since moving to the External Operations Office, DiLoreto's duties have included fostering and maintaining contracts for Internet, regional radio and television broadcasts; cultivating and executing radio, apparel, and sponsorship contracts for the athletic department; serving as the top administrator for the University's licensing program; coordinating advertising campaigns for season, individual, and group ticket sales; organizing marketing and promotional efforts for all 31 BC sports; managing community relations for the department; overseeing planning and development for Multimedia Services for the department; coordinating game atmosphere efforts for the department; and creating service plans to expand and evaluate the department's efforts with the Boston College community. His recent expansion of the corporate sponsorship program, along with the department's partnerships with the Fenway Sports Group and ISP Sports continue to strengthen BC's sponsorship, national exposure, and positioning in the local market this upcoming year. DiLoreto is also the athletics department's liaison with game-day concessions, souvenirs and program sales. DiLoreto is a board member of NACMA and partners with campus organizations such as the Alumni Association and the Office of Student Development to foster growth and support for BC athletics within the Boston College community. DiLoreto is a 1993 graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where he earned his bachelor's degree in sport management. He also holds a master's degree in administration from BC's College of Advancing Studies. DiLoreto and his wife, Corinne, reside in Townsend with their two children, Justin (9) and Julia (7). |
