POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for selling Wake Forest Football & Basketball season tickets & ticket packages to individuals and to groups. Specific responsibilities include lead generation, prospecting and consultative selling via outbound phone calls from a sales desk in the Wake Forest Ticket Sales Center. Responsible for meeting and exceeding individual sales revenue targets as determined by the ticket sales team manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Experience and Training
BA/BS with working knowledge of sales and customer service and a working knowledge of development, alumni relations and athletics operations in a college or university environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

  • Knowledge and ability to execute a consultative sales process from lead generation to implementation and customer support.
  • Unquestionable integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics.
  • Mature, professional and respectful demeanor.
  • Evidence of being self-starting, self-motivating, organized, entrepreneurial and creative in formulating and presenting solutions to customers over the phone.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and familiarity with CRM software solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and listening skills.
  • Ability to research and organize information and data accurately and with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and to execute multiple tasks in a time-sensitive, pressurized environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Receptive to coaching, following instructions and executing directives.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings to fulfill game-day responsibilities for Football and Men's Basketball.
  • Ability to support a rotating work schedule as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Meets or exceeds weekly, monthly and campaign-specific sales goals by initiating outbound phone contact with prospective ticket buyers and selling ticketing solutions.
  • Maintains a high level of qualified sales activity.
  • Grows weekly sales volumes by working efficiently and by constantly attracting new business through referrals and other prospecting activities.
  • Maintains up-to-date digital records of leads, prospects, sales activities, and customer account information using Wake Forest Ticket Sales Team computer tools and databases.
  • Provides professional customer service and post-sales follow-up.
  • Assists with other University projects and events as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • COMPENSATION:
    Base salary plus commission with on-target-earnings equivalent to $27,000. Standard University
