Located in Kansas City, Mo., The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) is a 501(c)(3) membership organization dedicated to empowering, developing and advancing the success of women throughout the profession. NACWAA provides educational programming, professional and personal development opportunities, information exchange and support services to promote the growth and leadership of women as athletics administrators, coaches and student-athletes.

NACWAA is currently accepting applications for a year-long internship at its National Office in Kansas City. This is a full-time, paid position. Internship responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Membership services
• Event management (including the 2011 National Convention in Pittsburgh)
• Website management
• Assisting with professional development programming
• Support of all NACWAA-sponsored programs and events
• Support of public policy, legislative and advocacy initiatives
• Day-to-day office management
• Additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree (required)
• Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop and InDesign)
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Ability to balance multiple priorities
• Excellent organizational skills with proven attention to detail
• Demonstrated commitment to the advancement of women in athletics

Anticipated Start Date: June 1, 2011
Salary: $18,000/year
