Senior Associate $72,000 to $90,000
Associate $63,040 to $78,000

Job Description
Responsible for solicitation, cultivation and stewardship of individuals capable of leadership gifts to athletics of $100,000-$999,999. Manage portfolio of 200 prospects, many of whom are already $100,000+ donors to athletics. Key capital giving officer in assisting athletics and the University during the $1.5B Light the World Campaign. Make no fewer than 20 face-to-face visits per month with donors and prospective donors.

Ability to think quickly and independently is critical as this position will have a high level of personal contact with donors. This person must have big picture perspective and understand that all decisions must be made in the best interest of the University while treating the patron respectfully. Professionalism, attention to detail and follow through are critical while building and maintaining external and internal relationships. Will collaborate closely with UA Capital Giving staff to coordinate all fundraising efforts.

A high level of contact with donors requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to use good judgment when dealing with donors in complicated situations. The ability to communicate clearly and use common sense. Task-focus is critical and this person must remain focused on prioritizing and completing the most important tasks and not necessarily the most urgent. Tremendous attention to detail required.

 

 

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a member of a team. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and great attention to detail. The ability to clearly understand the big picture and a donor's potential lifetime value to the University. A demonstrated knowledge of college athletics and fundraising and its role in a University setting. An ability to articulate the mission of Boston College, the athletic department and the Flynn Fund.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred with a business, higher education or sport management concentration.

Senior Associate -
A minimum of 5-7 years progressive fundraising experience, preferably in a higher education, athletics campaign environment. Demonstrated ability and success of solicitation, closing and stewardship of gifts of $100,000+.

Associate -
A minimum of 3-5 years professional fundraising experience, preferably in a higher education, athletics campaign environment with specific background in the solicitation, stewardship and cultivation of leadership gifts.

This position will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all NCAA, ACC and Institutional rules.
