This is a unique opportunity for an ecommerce entrepreneur who has the skill-set to develop and dramatically expand a specific slice of business. GSI has a proven track record in sports and licensed products and now will be taking that successful formula into the collegiate business. The individual we're looking for needs to have a special mix of ecommerce acumen and immersion in the collegiate retail environment.
This position's responsibilities include:
Develop and Grow Collegiate Ecommerce Business at GSI This individual will be directly responsible for the strategy and implementation and growth of GSI's collegiate business with existing partners and newly acquired partners.
The position includes:
Developing a comprehensive blueprint for growing the collegiate business online with existing GSI partners Acquiring new ecommerce partners at the university and conference levels Marketing through traditional and non-traditional internet and offline mediums such as affiliate networks, search, CSE, portal, electronic media, mobile and catalog print Developing and managing the promotional marketing calendar for the collegiate business Email marketing strategies to a large and dedicated opt-in database Directing and coordinating with the buyers of the merchandise Use analytic tools to continually improve the business Project planning and execution P&L Ownership budget and deliver against sales while managing all fixed & variable expenses directly associated with the business.
Relationship management create strong relationships with people and companies to support your initiatives, including partner management and the development of additional relationships inside the FIFA community.
Minimum Requirements:
College Degree: BS Ecommerce, marketing or management 10 years business experience with continued career advancement in ecommerce or traditional retail; in either the NCAA licensing, sports licensing or the sports retail industry (candidates outside of those industries will be considered if there are other compelling characteristics) At least 3-5 years experience in ecommerce, including an understanding of catalog management tools, analytics reporting, online marketing Strong computer skills, advanced knowledge of the internet and emerging medias Exceptional written and verbal business communication skills Strong relationship management skills with supporting references Entrepreneurial Spirit - The ability to take ownership of a business unit, envision the areas for potential growth and make those opportunities a reality with the support of the organization and the immediate supervisor.
Desirable Requirements:
Unstoppable work ethic
Experience in the sports licensing industry or strong affinity and knowledge of NCAA MBA Experience project management or working in tandem with a project manager
