GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Director of Athletic Development is an administrative position, appointed by the President. The Director serves at the will and pleasure of the President. The position requires a demonstrated commitment to the Catholic, liberal arts mission of the University and a working knowledge or previous experience with a Catholic population. MAJOR TASKS: 1. Serve as the Department of Athletics' main liaison with various constituents, and coaching staff, assisting them with aiding the department through major gifts, working on grants, endowments and capital gifts. POSITION AUTHORITY: The Director of Athletic Development reports to the Vice President of Advancement and works closely with the Advancement staff and the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing/Promotions and the Mount Club Director. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and have at least three years of experience in higher education fundraising or a related field with previous experience in direct solicitation of major gifts preferred.
