The Office of Trademark Licensing Services at WVU is seeking a Trademark Licensing Coordinator. This position reports to the Director, Trademark Licensing Services within the Office of the Vice President for University Relations at West Virginia University. This position will assist the Director with ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal laws, standards, policies, and regulations to protect the integrity and use of University marks and logos that are the property of WVU, will research and execute marketing and public relations strategies to advance the University's retail presence and licensing program, and will provide support in representing WVU on trademark licensing issues to various university constituents as well as externally to governmental agencies, vendors, national organization, and the general public.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of related experience in marketing, public relations, and/or business administration. A Masters degree in related field is preferred. Among other skills, the candidate must possess: demonstrated experience with various marketing techniques such as direct mail, retail/sales, social media marketing; the ability to develop an understanding of legal issues, and policy issues related to trademarks; the ability to understand and assist with enforcement of trademark and branding standards; demonstrated ability in managing complex issues and creatively solving problems; strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills; skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
