The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of Associate Director of Group Sales. This position will develop and implement ticket sales strategies for groups and organizations that are targeted prospects for purchasing tickets to select Ohio State athletic events through in person connections with the organizations and groups. Researches and identifies prospective customers, makes connections and cultivates relationships with community organizations and groups. Works in conjunction with the Athletics Marketing department to sell theme nights and ticket packages to events. Provides game day support for marketing and identifying new prospects. Tracks ticket sales and maintains customer database. Position earns commission on sales. Position spends over 50% of the time working away from the office.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and education is required. Experience in sales and cold calling is required. Ability to work irregular hours including nights and weekends; excellent communication skills; ability to self-motivate, and proven record of achieving results is required. Athletic ticket sales experience is strongly desired.

Position may require completion of a criminal background check.
