National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Adds Mike Ott to National Office Staff

Cleveland, Ohio - The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) has hired Mike Ott to the position of Assistant Director of Communications.
Ott, a 2008 Capital University graduate, officially began his duties on May 19. He will help oversee the production of Athletics Administration, which will now be issued eight times a year. He will also help with affiliate association programs and publications, media relations and other duties as assigned.
Ott graduated with a bachelor's degree in English/professional writing and was a four-year letterwinner on the Crusader golf team. Ott worked as an assistant in the Capital sports information department and was a play-by-play and color internet broadcaster for Crusader basketball and volleyball. He was a sports writer for the university paper and was a beat writer for the Columbus Crew.

More than 2,400 athletics administrators annually attend the NACDA Convention. Additionally, NACDA administers 11 professional associations for the separate business units that report directly to the athletics director.
