NCAA's Emmert to Meet with NACDA Leadership

CLEVELAND - The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Officers, Executive Committee and Past Presidents, along with the Affiliate Association President's will be meeting at the end of the week for their annual Mid-Winter Meetings to discuss the 2012 NACDA and Affiliates Convention Week - June 22-28 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

For the second year in a row, NCAA President Mark Emmert will be in attendance to discuss topics that are integral to intercollegiate athletics. On Sunday, Emmert will meet with the NACDA Officers, Executive Committee and Past Presidents to discuss hot topics. In addition, he will also meet with NACDA Affiliate Association Presidents during the afternoon.

"This is an important meeting for NACDA as we prepare for our upcoming Convention and have the opportunity to discuss the hot topics in intercollegiate athletics," stated NACDA President Dan Guerrero, director of athletics at UCLA. "Having Dr. Emmert with us for our meetings shows his continued commitment to hearing more from the athletics directors and administrators perspective. College athletics is in the process of going through a myriad of change and it's important that we have an opportunity to voice our ideas to Dr. Emmert."

Over the course of the four days, the NACDA leadership begins to finalize plans for the upcoming 2012 Convention.
