Ronald Reeves, a native of Detroit, Michigan, recently finished his master's degree in sport management from Ithaca College (IC) in May 2008 after receiving his undergraduate degree in communications-journalism and business from the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) in 2007.

During his tenure at UDM, he was a sprinter for the UDM track and field team. His track career included placing in the Horizon League outdoor championships in the 100-meter dash and 400-meter relay.

Within the athletics department, Reeves worked with event management during the UDM basketball games. He also was very involved with UDM intramurals, including refereeing, business management, promotions/marketing, and participating in various sports.

He was also very involved within the UDM community. He was the editor and a writer for the school newspaper, The Varsity News. As the editor, he helped fund raise and lead a campaign to build what is known as the Neal Shine Media Center.

At Ithaca College, Reeves was the men's track and field graduate assistant. He was lead coach during the fall semester and specialized in sprinting. During that time, the team won the Empire 8 Indoor and Outdoor track and field championships. He is also a USATF Level 1 certified coach.

He has also worked various different interns/jobs with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Detroit News, National Sports Youth Program (NYSP), IC/Cornell University event management and ISP Sports.

At NACDA, Reeves will be focusing his time with MOAA, CABMA, the McLendon Foundation, security workshops and writing for Athletics Administration. Reeves is seeking a career one day as an athletics director. Next fall, Reeves plans to work within a collegiate athletic department in Business Operations or Facility/Event Management.
