Ben Miller Position: Intern College/University: Hanover/Ohio State (master's)

Ben Miller, a native of Hudson, Ohio, and recent graduate of The Ohio State University Sport Management Master's program, brings a wide variety of athletics experience to NACDA, ranging from the Division I ranks to Division III.

While attending Ohio State, Miller was an intern in the Capital University athletics department, where he managed sponsor relations and also assisted with press releases, game previews and game programs for a number of fall and winter sports, among other duties. Miller was also a summer athletics operations intern at Cornell University, working with compliance obligations as well as facility scheduling. He also spent time as a sports information intern at Capital, a marketing/fan experience intern at Ohio State and an external operations intern at John Carroll University.

Since his graduation from Ohio State, Miller worked in the athletics business office at the University of Akron where he created a new game management entry tool to enhance the university's ability to recognize cost-saving opportunities. He also helped transfer data into an integrated financial plan to display budget forecasts for the next five years.

Miller was a four-year letterman on the men's varsity soccer team at Hanover College, where he completed a bachelor's degree in business and communication in 2009. He will begin his second year as a college soccer referee this fall.

While at NACDA, Miller will be working with NAADD, CABMA, the DII ADA and the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, with his ultimate goal being to work as a senior level administrator at the Division I level. Miller can be reached at bmiller@nacda.com.
