Vanessa Kaye, a 2006 graduate of Wake Forest University, recently completed two years at Florida State University as graduate assistant equipment manager. She worked with the Seminole basketball programs and women's soccer, while working towards a master's degree in Sports Management. While attending Wake Forest, where she earned a bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in Spanish, Kaye served as an equipment manager for four years and was the head manager for the women's basketball and field hockey teams for three seasons while also working with several other sports. Her duties at Wake included filming home and away games, helping out at practices with the clock and statistics, arranging the equipment for travel and helping with all other equipment needs. A native of Naples, Florida, Kaye began her athletics career during her junior year as a manager for her high school girls' basketball team. Utilizing her Colombian background, Kaye is bilingual in English and Spanish. Kaye is a big fan of Boston sports with ambitions to become an SWA and to live in the Boston area. Kaye will be working with NAADD and Division I-AAA ADA, along with having membership update responsibilities, and she can be reached at vkaye@nacda.com.
