Kevin Collins Position: Intern College/University: Delaware

Kevin Collins, a native of Merrick, New York, joins NACDA from the University of Delaware (UD), where he recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in sport management.

While at UD, Collins served as a ticket office intern for six months, where he was the game day box office manager for all men's and women's lacrosse games, and served as a ticket kiosk representative for all men's and women's basketball games. . He worked closely with the director of ticket operations in implementing a new season ticket strategy for men's and women's basketball, and was one of the main contacts for football season ticket renewals.

In addition to his work with the ticket office, Collins was a student volunteer in the UD Athletics Development department. His duties included researching and verifying contact information of potential donors for cultivation and solicitation purposes. He also participated in athletic alumni reunion events and provided customer relations to donors with phone calls and face to face meetings at events. He also helped to run the student-athlete thank-a-thon, where student- athletes contacted donors thanking them for their contributions.

Collins also spent time as a sales intern with the Ripken Baseball/Aberdeen Ironbirds, was sports director at the student radio station at Delaware for three years and served as co-chairperson for the 2012 Senior Class Gift program at Delaware.

While at NACDA, Collins will work with NAADD, NAAC, NATYCAA and CoSIDA. After his internship, he plans to pursue a career in intercollegiate athletics. Collins can be reached at kcollins@nacda.com.
