NAADD Elects New Officers and Executive Committee Members



Cleveland, Ohio -- The members of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) elected Ross Bjork, senior associate athletics director for external relations at the University of California Los Angeles, to serve as president for 2006-07.

 

Also elected to serve as officers for the 2006-07 term were: 1st Vice President Jane Myers, assistant athletics director, development, Bowling Green State University; 2nd Vice President/Secretary Chuck Beddingfield, associate athletics director for development/marketing, The Citadel; and 3rd Vice President/Treasurer, Matt Donovan, associate director of athletics for development and facilities, University of Indianapolis.

 

New members to the Association's Executive Committee include Whit Babcock, assistant athletics director/executive director of athletics development, West Virginia University; and Tommy Riggs, associate athletics director, Pittsburg State University. They join current Executive Committee members Tim McMurray, associate athletics director - development at Northern Illinois University; Marija Neubauer, associate athletics director/development at the University of Wisconsin; Jim Paquette, associate athletics director for development at Boston College; Chris Wyrick, associate athletics director of development at the University of South Carolina; and Dennis Young, associate athletics director at East Carolina University.

 

NAADD is the first organization of its kind to provide educational and networking opportunities, enhancement of acceptable operating standards and ethics, and establishment of the overall prestige and understanding of the profession of athletic development and fund raising.
