NAADD Elects Officers and Executive Committee Members for 2010-11

CLEVELAND - The members of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) elected University of Wisconsin-Madison Associate Athletics Director Marija Pientka, to serve as president in 2010-11. Pientka replaces Tim McMurray, senior associate athletics director at Northern Illinois University, who served as President during 2009-10.

"First I want to thank Tim, our Officers, Executive Committee and Conference Representatives for continuing to build our membership and helping assemble another outstanding Convention in 2009-10," stated Pientka. "I look forward to leading NAADD during the upcoming year and continuing the momentum heading into the fall."

Also elected to serve as officers for the 2010-11 were - 1st Vice President Dennis Young, associate athletics director at East Carolina University; 2nd Vice President/Secretary Whit Babcock, senior associate athletics director at the University of Missouri; and 3rd Vice President/Treasurer Stephen Ponder, senior associate athletics director at Arizona State University.

New members of the 2010-11 Executive Committee include Doug Knuth, associate athletics director for external relations at the University of Utah; Aaron Leetch, senior associate athletics director/external affairs at Illinois State University; and Bill Ring, director of development at Boston University. These new committee members join Pat Chun, senior associate athletics director, external relations at The Ohio State University; Julie Hall, associate athletics director at the University of California Riverside; Kay Hargrave, senior associate athletic director, development at Auburn University; Phillip McAlpin, director of development, executive director - The Victory Club Foundation, at North Carolina A&T State University; and Jim Senter, associate athletics director development at the University of Colorado.
