NAADD Executive Committee Nomination Process Outlined

As we continue to strengthen our profession and make a difference for the athletics industry, we call upon our members to identify outstanding professionals to be considered for the NAADD Executive Committee. This is an outstanding opportunity and we encourage nominations for the committee position available.

The NAADD Executive Committee serves as our member's voice with 12 members each serving a four-year term. A successful candidate chosen for the Executive Committee this year will be appointed to a term beginning in July 2010 and ending in June 2014. This group serves a leadership role in creating educational and networking opportunities for all its members. A substantial task each year for the Committee is the preparation, planning and implementation of our annual Convention taking place each June. This event provides a tremendous resource tool for all athletics professionals.

Nominees expressing an interest in the NAADD Executive Committee must be the head of development at their institution. Additionally, the committee will consider, but is not limited to, the following criteria during the selection process:

- Conference Affiliation
- Divisional Affiliation (i.e. Football Bowl Subdivision, Division II, etc.)
- Geographic Location
- Gender & Ethnicity
- Years in Athletics Development
- Years of NAADD Membership
- Years of Participation at the NAADD Convention as an attendee, speaker or volunteer

Give consideration to this opportunity, and if you would like to nominate someone you feel deserving, please do so. The following is the timeline for nominations:

Early February, 2010 – nominations are being accepted

April 12, 2010 – nomination deadline

April 13-23, 2010 – Nominating Committee phone interviews with finalists
