Frequently Asked Questions

Cleveland, Ohio - On Wednesday, November 19, the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) and ACS Athletics will present a webinar to college and university personnel responsible for eligibility certification with a comprehensive analysis of the NCAA satisfactory progress-towards-degree requirements, which all institutions are obligated to certify as it relates to the athletics eligibility of their student-athletes.

The webinar will take place from 4:00-5:00 pm ET. Topics to be discussed include:

  • A best practice model, including a step-by-step process for certifying the eligibility of a student-athlete.
  • Example forms and documents utilized to ensure accurate certifications.
  • Identification of key campus personnel and their role in the certification process (a best practice example).
  • Relevant information for the FAR, eligibility certification officer, academic advisors and the athletics compliance office for both Division I and Division II institutions.

This webinar will be of interest to college and university personnel who administer or advise their institutions on compliance with NCAA satisfactory progress-towards-degree requirements. It is the first in a series of webinars NAAC will host in an effort to provide better service to their members as well as compliance solutions for intercollegiate athletics.

The webinar is $35 for NAAC members and $50 for non-NAAC members. The fee includes up to 4 individuals per institution, which means you can have up to four people logged on to separate computers at one time. It is our hope that institutional representatives will view and participate in the webinar at the same time and in the same location to encourage group discussion regarding the certification process at your institution. If you would like to have more than four individuals participate on different computers, you will be assessed another $35/$50 fee.
