Get Involved with the 2010 NAAC Convention
May 25, 2010 GET INVOLVED WITH THE 2010 NAAC CONVENTION! Eligibility Center "Call for Panel Questions" and the NAAC Mentorship Program It is hard to believe that we are just one month from the 2010 NAAC Convention on June 21-22 in Anaheim! If you have not registered yet, it is not too late! Please visit www.nacda.com for registration and hotel information. We hope that you have been following our agenda online and are as excited about the programming as we are. Our general speakers include influential leaders in the world of Major Infractions, Men's Basketball and Senior Level Athletics Administration. Not only that, but our "best practice" breakout sessions will leave you with tools and applications that you can bring back to campus with you to strengthen your own area. With Convention just a month away, we want to offer YOU a chance to get involved with the programming, and give YOU a chance to strengthen your own professional development. *Eligibility Center CALL FOR QUESTIONS!* On June 22, the NCAA Eligibility Center will hold a general session question and answer panel covering their ongoing operations, how they might be able to improve their service to the membership, and how we can collaborate to assist them in their efforts. We would like to offer the NAAC Membership an opportunity to send in questions they would like to see posed by the moderator during the panel session! Please sign in to www.naacconnect.com to be prompted to the "question database" for the Eligibility Center Panel. Please submit any questions you would like to see included in the session. Eligibility Center representatives from Amateurism, Customer Service, High School Review and the National Letter of Intent will be on hand, so don't miss this opportunity to see YOUR questions answered! *The NAAC Mentorship Program* Are you relatively new to the Compliance world and looking for an experienced colleague to discuss ideas and concepts with? Are you an experienced Compliance professional looking to enhance the professional development of new colleagues in the business? Then the NAAC Mentorship program is FOR YOU! Please sign into www.naacconnect.com to either request to be a mentor, or request to receive a mentor. "Mentors" and "Mentees" will be randomly paired up in advance of Convention, and will have their contact information exchanged via e-mail. We then hope that you can find some time to meet at Convention. This is an informal way for you to broaden your professional network and we hope you will take advantage of it!
