NAAC Elects 3rd Vice President for 2018-2019

CLEVELAND – The NAAC Board is excited to announce the election of Jason Leonard, executive director of athletics compliance at the University of Oklahoma (OU), to the 3rd Vice President position for the 2018-19 membership year. Leonard has served on the NAAC Board as the Chair of the Professional Development Committee for the past three years.

Leonard has held his position at Oklahoma since December 2006 and is responsible for the oversight of all daily athletics compliance operations and rules education efforts within the department. He was recently appointed to the Division I Committee on Infractions (COI), an independent administrative body charged with deciding infractions cases involving NCAA member institutions and their employees. Previously, Leonard worked as associate general counsel in OU’s Legal Department. He has a long history at OU, earning Academic All-American honors as a wrestler, graduating with a bachelor's and his juris doctorate from OU and is an adjunct professor at the Oklahoma School of Law. 

Leonard will officially join the Officer ranks at this year’s NAAC Convention, which takes place June 26-28 at the Gaylord National Resort in Washington, D.C. as a part of the NACDA and Affiliates Convention Week.
