Gambling Symposium

In conjunction with Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling, UCF, FSU, and Rollins College is sponsoring a gambling symposium on Sunday, June 12, 2005 from 2-6:15pm at the Hilton Hotel (same hotel that the NCAA Regional Seminar)in Orlando, Florida. The symposium will feature a nationally known speaker on the perils and pitfalls of illegal sports wagering, a panel of D-I adn D-II athletics directors who have experienced gambling scandals on their campuses, law enforcement and NCAA representatives, experts in addictive behaviors, and speakers who will address this issue from the standpoint of providing educational programming for student-athletes, university administrators and students, high-school administrators and students, and the community.

Additional information on registration for the symposium will be forthcoming as the details are finalized. The cost of the symposium is free. Make plans now to arrive in Orlando a day early to attend this symposium.
