Oct. 23, 2017

Tania Kennedy - Big East Conference

Why did you join MOAA?
I joined MOAA to network and share knowledge with other professionals in the collegiate athletics spectrum.

Name something about you most people don't know about you.
Prior to the BIG EAST, I had never been to the Midwest. Now I travel there regularly and can't get enough of the cheese curds in Milwaukee and the steaks in Omaha.

If you hadn’t chosen a profession in athletics, what would your profession be?
I would be an actress.

What is one of the greatest aspects of being involved in athletics?
One of the greatest aspects for me is being in a position to help create amazing championship experiences for student-athletes similar to the experiences I had as a D1 student-athlete.

What is the theme song playing in your head when you have to get something tough done?
Better - Hezekiah Walker

If you could spend one day with a sports figure, dead or alive, who would it be? Why?
Muhammad Ali because he impacted not only the sports world, but the world as a whole.

What is your favorite movie? Why?
Love & Basketball of course. I thought I was going to be the first girl in the NBA.

What is the last thing someone has come back and thanked you for professionally?
A college student thanked me for taking the time to share with him some of my experiences as an administrator.

Best thing your mentor told you?
Success doesn't come from what you do occasionally. It comes from what you do consistently.

Fill in the blank: I wished I would have_______.
asked more questions in the beginning of my career and taken more risks.
