The Minorities Opportunity Athletics Association (MOAA) has announced that it will will begin accepting nominations for the MOAA Board of Directors.

We would like to ask you, the membership, to assist us with this process. If there is someone you feel would make a good candidate for the MOAA Board of Directors, please e-mail MOAA Liaison Katie Newman (knewman@nacda.com)with the person's name, institution, bio/resume and any contact information you may have for that individual.

This year, there are 2-3 openings on the Board. These positions will be approved by the current MOAA Board of Directors prior to the June Symposium, which will take place at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Florida.

When considering whether or not to nominate someone, please take into consideration the following:
• Conference Affiliation
• Geographic Location
• Gender
• Race/Ethnicity
• Divisional Affiliation
• Previous involvement in MOAA
• Ability to dedicate a portion of their time to serving on the Board

The deadline for nominating individuals is Wednesday, April 1.

After this deadline, all nominated individuals will be contacted directly by the current Board of Directors to gauge their interest and request a written explanation of why they wish to be on the Board (accordance with MOAA Bylaw III.4.b).
