The selection process involves a review of candidates by the current MOAA Board of Directors prior to the June Symposium, which will take place at the Marriott Hotel in Anaheim, California.

When reviewing Board candidates, consideration is given to the following criteria:
• Conference Affiliation
• Geographic Location
• Gender
• Race/Ethnicity
• Divisional Affiliation
• Previous involvement in MOAA
• Ability to dedicate a portion of their time to serving on the Board

The deadline for nominations is Monday, April 12.

After this deadline, all nominated individuals will be contacted directly to gauge their interest and request a written explanation of why they wish to serve on the Board (accordance with MOAA Bylaw III.4.b).

If you have any questions regarding the nomination process, please do not hesitate to contact either Stan Johnson (stanjohnson@everestkc.net) or Katie Newman (knewman@nacda.com, 440-892-4000).
