Striving to Reach 325 !!
The Minority Opportunities Athletic Association had the first day of its telephone blitz on Tuesday, February 13 and despite the extremely harsh winter weather some of our callers experienced in their regions, the calls were very successful. We increased our membership goal from 65% to 78%. Wednesday, February 21 the MOAA members will be making calls again and we wish them all success. If you are interested in participating in the blitz to increase membership awareness or would like to assist in recruiting members in your conference, please contact Darlene Gordon at the NACDA office at 440-892-4000 or dgordon@nacda.com. 8:55 a.m. -9:55 a.m. Part I "Here's How We Are Meeting Some of the Challenges of Minority Professionals" - Panel discussion with topics varying from scholarship programs (McLendon) to networking opportunities. 10:05 a. m. -11:30 a.m. Part II "How Do We Meet the Challenges of Minority Professionals" - Round table discussions with topics that will allow the membership to provide the current leadership with ideas on what they would like to see MOAA provide. 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Luncheon with keynote speaker Charlotte Westerhaus, NCAA 1:30 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. Networking Session featuring Top Headhunters within the industry - This session will give entry level professionals insight as to institutional search processes.
