ICLA Elects 2010-11 Officers and Board of Directors

CLEVELAND - Texas A&M University's Shane Hinckley, assistant vice president, business development, was selected by the members of the International Collegiate Licensing Association (ICLA) to serve as president for 2010-11. He succeeds Derek Lochbaum, director of trademarks and licensing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. "The strategic importance of leveraging a university's brand is increasing each year and ICLA continues to be the Association that collegiate licensing professionals look to for direction," stated Hinckley. "I want to thank Derek for his leadership over the past year and look forward to serving as the Association's President during the upcoming year." Also elected to serve ICLA for the 2010-11 term were 1st Vice President Maggie Huckaba, director, trademark licensing at Vanderbilt University; 2nd Vice President/Treasurer David Wilson, trademark licensing director at Purdue University; and 3rd Vice President/Secretary Marty Ludwig, director, trademarks and licensing at the University of Cincinnati. Robin Cooper, assistant director of licensing & trademarks at Indiana University joins the following individuals on ICLA's Board of Directors: Dawn Brown, licensing coordinator at Jansport, Inc.; Brett Eden, director, marketing and licensing auxiliary services at The University of Utah; Trey Ham, licensing manager at Gear for Sports; Brian Hommel, director trademark licensing at Louisiana State University; Mike Ross, licensing director at Top of the World; Marybeth Schmutz, assistant director - trademark license program at Rutgers University; and Scott Stevenson, creative community directors & trademark licensing coordinator at the University of California Davis.
