ICLA Elects 2011-12 Officers and Board of Directors

CLEVELAND – Vanderbilt University’s Maggie Huckaba, director – trademark licensing, was selected by the members of the International Collegiate Licensing Association (ICLA) to serve as president for 2011-12. Huckaba succeeds Shane Hinckley, assistant vice president, business development at Texas A&M University, who served as president a year ago.

“I would like to thank Shane, the Officers, Board members and our Sponsors for making last year’s Symposium and Convention such successes,” said Huckaba. “Trademark licensing and brand protection has become more important to universities and colleges across the country. We are so excited to be the Association that can provide top-level education to licensing professionals in our industry.”

Also elected to serve ICLA for the 2011-12 term were 1st Vice President David Wilson, trademark licensing director at Purdue University; 2nd Vice President/Treasurer Marty Ludwig, director - trademarks and licensing at the University of Cincinnati; and 3rd Vice President/Secretary Brett Eden, director – marketing and licensing auxiliary services at the University of Utah.

Selected to terms on the Board were Dale Arens, trademark licensing director at the University of Iowa; Rachael Bickerton, director – trademark licensing and enforcement at Boise State University; and Cassidy Moore, VP – marketing and licensing at The Original Retro Brand.

Arens, Bickerton and Moore join the following licensing professionals on the Board - Dawn Brown, licensing coordinator at Jansport, Inc.; Robin Cooper, assistant director of licensing and trademarks at Indiana University; Trey Ham, licensing manager at Gear for Sports; Brian Hommel, director trademark licensing at Louisiana State University; and Scott Stevenson, creative community director & trademark licensing coordinator at the University of California Davis.
