Cleveland, Ohio - The members of the International Collegiate Licensing Association (ICLA) have chosen Craig Westemeier, assistant athletic director trademarks and licensing for The University of Texas at Austin, to serve as president for 2008-09.

“It is an honor to be chosen to serve as ICLA’s President over the course of the next year,” state Westemeier. “A special thanks to Dale Arens of Iowa who was our Association’s leader during 2007-08. ICLA has seen continued growth over the past few years and I look forward to continuing that trend in 2008-09.”

Also elected to serve ICLA for the 2008-09 term were 1st Vice President Derek Lochbaum, director of trademarks and licensing at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; 2nd Vice President Shane Hinckley, assistant vice president, business development at Texas A&M University; and 3rd Vice President/Secretary Maggie Huckaba, director, trademark licensing at Vanderbilt University.

New members of the Association's Board of Directors include Dawn Brown, licensing coordinator at Jansport, Inc.; Trey Ham, licensing manager at Gear for Sports; and Marty Ludwig, director, trademarks and licensing at the University of Cincinnati. The trio join Susan Galbraith, licensing director at the University of Montana; Maureen Riedel, director, trademark licensing at Penn State University; Mike Ross, licensing director at Top of the World; Marybeth Schmutz, assistant director - trademark license program at Rutgers University; and David Wilson, trademark licensing manager at Purdue University on the Board.
