Maureen Riedel joined The Pennsylvania State University in October 2004. As licensing director, Riedel is responsible for the management and overall strategic direction of Penn State's domestic and international licensing programs. Prior to joining Penn State, she served as the licensing administrator for Syracuse University's trademark licensing program. Riedel is involved with many industry wide initiatives, currently serving her third year on the International Collegiate Licensing Association (ICLA) Board of Directors. She also serves as the university representative for labor rights initiatives including the Worker Rights Consortium (WRC), the Fair Labor Association (FLA), and the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) Labor Task Force. Riedel represents Penn State as one of six university constituents on the FLA Board of Directors and serves as the Chair of the FLA University Staff Advisory Committee. In recognition of outstanding leadership and innovation during the 2005-06 academic year, Maureen was the recipient of ICLA's Gold Star Award. Riedel is a graduate of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and Penn State's Smeal College of Business Executive Program. |
