Marty Ludwig Position: Director, Trademarks and Licensing Institution: University of Cincinnati

Martin Ludwig serves as the Director of Trademarks and Licensing for the University of Cincinnati Ludwig is responsible for managing the relationships with all licensees, as well as the review and approval of designs using the university's marks. He is also responsible for licensing research technologies developed on campus by faculty, staff and students and building relationships with companies and inventors to facilitate commercialization of the technologies.

Ludwig has worked with the Cincinnati athletic department to update the image of the mascot, and developed new logos which have helped create more consistency in the licensing program in all mediums. Ludwig is a member of the university's branding committee, and has been an active member of ICLA and contributed as a member of the planning committee and presentations for the 2007 and 2008 ICLA Summer conferences. He has also been worked with colleagues in the BIG EAST conference to coordinate a licensing director's network to share information and hopefully to collectively enhance the respective programs.

Ludwig holds a B.S in Finance and prior to joining the University of Cincinnati, worked for seven years in the financial services industry in general brokerage and financial services managing assets for high net worth clients. A Cincinnati native, Ludwig is active in the community by serving on the education board for our parish school, and coaches community youth basketball and baseball teams.
