Marty Ludwig is the director of trademarks and licensing at the University of Cincinnati. In this role, he is responsible for managing all internal and external relationships regarding the commercial use of the university's name, identifying marks, and still and moving images. He is also responsible for insuring the university receives the appropriate commercial value for the use of its trademarks, and actively enforcing the university's rights against their unauthorized use to protect and promote the goodwill and reputation of the university that they represent.
Ludwig is a member of the university's brand review committee, communicator's cabinet, marketing advisory committee, campus services management team and executive marketing team, and the marketing committee for the university based healthcare system (UC Health).
Ludwig is an active member of ICLA, currently serving as First Vice President on the Board of Directors. He has contributed as a member on conference planning and award committees, and given numerous presentations and published articles about a variety of topics related to collegiate licensing.
Ludwig has a bachelor's degree in finance, and has over seven years of experience in the financial services industry managing assets for high net worth clients prior to joining the University of Cincinnati. Ludwig was raised in Cincinnati and is active in the community serving on the advisory board for St. Antoninus Parish, a coordinator for the St. Antoninus baseball program, and coaches youth basketball and baseball teams. He is an avid golfer and loves all things related to college sports.
