Shane Hinckley is the assistant vice president of business development at Texas A&M University. As assistant vice president of business development, Hinckley is responsible for the supervision of new and existing business opportunities with the University. Such oversight includes the on-campus bookstore as well as other business and marketing opportunities. Hinckley also directs the Texas A&M licensing program in its entirety. This program administers the use of the University's name, marks and still and moving images with internal and external partners. Shane currently serves as an officer on the board of directors for the International Collegiate Licensing Association (ICLA). Hinckley worked as the director of marketing & licensing for auxiliary services at the University of Utah. As director of marketing, Hinckley was responsible for the advertising and promotion of eight auxiliary services' departments on campus. Hinckley directed the University of Utah's licensing program and oversaw the daily operations of the University Bookstore on campus. Prior to coming to Utah in 1999, Shane held several corporate positions with Hastings Entertainment (1990-1999). His focus was in marketing, advertising, operations and human resources. He has 17 years of retail experience. Shane is a graduate of Utah State and holds a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in human resource management. He is active in the community with his wife and three children. He has coached youth soccer and basketball teams, has served as a leader in the Cub and Boy Scout program, and is involved in various activities with his church. |
