Dale Arens is currently the trademark licensing director at Iowa, a position that he has held for the past five years. He is currently the president of the International Collegiate Licensing Association (ICLA). Previously, Arens directed the Iowa athletics department merchandising program for 16 years. Overall, Arens has 20-plus years of experience in the collegiate licensed products industry as a buyer, seller, marketer, and licensor of college licensed products.

In addition to his trademark licensing duties, Arens is the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame & Museum Director where he oversees the operations of this unique museum and events center that celebrates the rich heritage of Iowa athletics history. He is also an active member of the International Sports Heritage Association, where he is currently serving his second term as a member of its board of directors.

Arens is involved in his community as board president of the Iowa City/Coralville Conventions and Visitors Bureau. He is also a long time member of Parkview Church where he serves on the church board.

His wife, Lynette is a PharmD at Veteran's Hospital. They have two children. Luke, age 19, is a junior in the Iowa College of Engineering, and Kelsey, age 16, is a junior at City High School in Iowa City.
