The John McLendon Memorial Minority Postgraduate Scholarship Awards are presented to senior-level minority students or those that have graduated and are currently working in athletics administration. There are five $10,000 postgraduate scholarships available.

To be eligible, students must meet the federal guidelines for definition as a minority. This definition is available on the enclosed Scholarship Criteria Information sheet (blue).

Top administrators in the field of athletics will vote upon the finalists, while a panel of leaders in the fields of business, sports, entertainment and politics will select the overall winners.

Please use the scholarship nomination form and refer to the nomination criteria.

If a current senior - level student the nomination form must be signed and approved by the student's academic advisor.

Please note all nomination forms must be received in the NACDA office (not postmarked) by Friday, June 15, 2007. Nominations cannot be accepted after this date. Nominations may be mailed, faxed or sent by overnight mail. However, only submit the nomination form by one of the above methods.
