Cleveland, Ohio – The members of the Division I Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) have selected Tim Van Alstine, director of athletics at Western Illinois University, to serve as President for 2008-09.

“I want to thank 2007-08 President Jim Murphy, director of athletics at Davidson College for his contributions over the past year,” stated Van Alstine. “I look forward to serving as the Association’s president in 2008-09 and another outstanding year.”

The Division I FCS ADA also elected Peter Fields, director of athletics at Montana State University to serve as 1st Vice President; Greg Burke, director of athletics at Northwestern State University to serve as 2nd Vice President; and Marilyn McNeil, director of athletics at Monmouth University as the 3rd Vice President for the 2008-09 year.

The following directors of athletics were elected to serve on the Executive Committee – Jeff Bourne, James Madison University; Charlie Cobb, Appalachian State University; Robert Hill, Stephen F. Austin State University; Brian Hutchinson, Morehead State University; Charlene Johnson, South Carolina State University; Greg LaFleur, Southern University; Patrick Lyons, Iona College; Bruce McCutcheon, Lafayette College; Dianne Murphy, Columbia University; Division I FCS ADA Past President Jim Murphy; Gene Taylor, North Dakota State University; Ron Strollo, Youngstown State University; Terry Wanless, Sacramento State; Allen Ward, Murray State University; and Donny White, Virginia Military Institute. Monmouth University Head Football Coach Kevin Callahan is the football coaches’ representative on the Executive Committee.
