North Carolina Retains the Lead in Third Fall Division I Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Standings

With seven NCAA championships completed, North Carolina has retained the lead in the third Division I fall standings with 335 points. The Tar Heels had five top-20 finishes in all tournaments they advanced to, including a 17th place finish at the recent women’s volleyball championship.

The final Division I fall standings will be released Thursday, January 12, 2011, and will include both the FCS and FBS football standings.

Grand Valley State (Mich.) remains atop the final fall Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings with 411 points. The Lakers finished in the top 10 in all five of the championships they qualified for with the most recent being a ninth place finish in football.

The first Division III winter standings will be released Thursday, March 17, 2011.

Washington University (Mo.) has retained its lead in the final fall Division III Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Standings. The Bears accumulated a total of 336 points as a result of their performances in the seven fall NCAA championships.


 

 

The first Division III winter standings will be released Thursday, March 17, 2011.

Azusa Pacific (Calif.) Extends Lead in the Final Fall NAIA Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Standings

Azusa Pacific (Calif.) has extended its lead in the final fall NAIA Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Standings. The Cougars earned 25 points following a ninth place finish in football, bringing their point total to 301 points.

The first winter NAIA standings will be released Thursday, March 10, 2011.
