DII and DIII Learfield Directors' Cup Standings Released|

CLEVELAND – In the second set of fall Learfield Directors' Cup standings, Grand Valley State has scored 280.00 points to lead Division II, while Washington-St. Louis has accumulated 385.00 points to lead the DIII standings.
Grand Valley State jumped one spot to take the lead after finishing second in women’s soccer. Washington-St. Louis also jumped one spot to take the lead after capturing the women’s soccer title and placing 33rd in the men’s tournament.
In Division II, Colorado School of the Mines jumped four spots to second place with 221.00 points after coming in 5th in the women’s soccer tournament, while Shippensburg (PA) dropped to third with 208.50 points. LIU Post moved up 13 spots to fourth with 204.00 points (9th in men’s soccer, 17th in women’s soccer), and Fort Hays State rounds out the top five after a 26 spot leap with 193.00 points (5th in men’s soccer, 9th in women’s soccer).
The RMAC leads all Division II conferences in the top 10 with three institutions – Colorado School of Mines (2nd), Adams State (6th) and Western State (CO) (10th).
In Division III, Tufts is in second after taking home the men’s soccer championship. While the top two in the standings flip-flopped places, 3-5 remained the same with Calvin in third place with 314.00 points (2nd in men’s soccer), Johns Hopkins in fourth place with 284.50 points (9th in women’s soccer) and Middlebury rounding out the top five with 268.50 points (9th in women’s soccer).
The NESCAC leads all Division III conferences in the top 10 with three institutions – Tufts (2nd), Middlebury (5th) and Williams (8th).
The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. The Directors’ Cup Committee is reviewing the scoring structure for 2016-17 which will be finalized prior to the winter sports standings.
The final Division II & III fall standings will be released Thursday, December 22.
