Stanford and Azusa Pacific (Calif.) Lead U.S. Sports Academy Directors' Cup Standings

Division I On the Strength of four top-10 finishes, Stanford regained the lead in the first winter Division I U.S. Sports Academy Directors' Cup standings. The Cardinal, who previously led after the second fall standings, have scored a total of 668 points, including 353 with the completion of eight winter championships. Stanford placed third in women's swimming, fifth in women's indoor track and field, seventh in men's indoor track and field and eighth in fencing. The Cardinal also notched a 19th place finish in men's wrestling. For the complete release and standings click here. NAIA A half of a point separates the top-two spots in the final winter NAIA U.S. Sports Academy Directors' Cup Standings, as Azusa Pacific (Calif.) moved ahead of Simon Fraser (B.C.) with 618.5 total points. The Cougars placed fifth in men's basketball and 17th in women's basketball to bring their winter total to 285 points. Azusa Pacific's other scores this winter came in men's indoor track and field, where it placed first, and women's indoor track and field, where it finished second. Simon Fraser (B.C.) is in second place with 618 points. This winter, the Clan placed second in both men's and women's swimming, third in women's indoor track and field and 20th in men's indoor track and field.
