Conference Standings

 - Reigning champion Stanford resides in the top spot of the final fall Division I Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings with 545 points after the football team ranked 26th in the USA Today/Coaches Poll. 

The UCLA Bruins remain in 2nd place with 497.5 points, earning a 10th place finish in football. North Carolina stays in 3rd with 434.50 points, 25 points coming from a 48th finish in football. Penn State earned 45 points in football with a 26th place finish to remain in 4th place. After a Cotton Bowl victory earning them a 5th place finish in football, Michigan State moves into 5th place with 348 points. 

The Pac-12 leads all conferences with four institutions in the top 10 - Stanford (1st), UCLA (2nd), Washington (7th) and Oregon (10th).  

To date, all nine fall NCAA championships have been completed with the following institutions capturing titles: women's cross country - Michigan Statemen's cross country - Coloradofield hockey ­­- Connecticutwomen's soccer - Florida Statemen's soccer - Virginiamen's water polo -UCLA; women's volleyball - Penn StateFCS football - North Dakota StateFBS football - Ohio State

The first Division I winter standings will be released Thursday, March 19. 

The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today.  Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 20 sports -- 10 women's and 10 men's.
