DI Learfield Directors' Cup Standings Released

Division I Complete Standings       Division I Conference Standings

Reigning champion Stanford maintains the top spot of the final fall Division I Learfield Directors’ Cup standings with 504.50 points after the football team finished 12th in the final USA Today/Amway Coaches Poll. 

The UCLA Bruins remain in 2nd place with 348.00 points, and North Carolina maintains the 3rd spot with 345.00 points. Wisconsin jumps one spot to 4th with 324.00 points, 69 of which coming from a 9th place finish in football. BYU rounds out the top five after adding 25 points in its bowl game to get them to 312.50 points.

The Pac 12 leads all conferences with five institutions in the top 10 – Stanford (1st), UCLA (2nd), USC (8th), Washington (9th) and Colorado (10th).



To date, all nine fall NCAA championships have been completed with the following institutions capturing titles: women’s cross countryOregon; men’s cross countryNorthern Arizona; field hockeyDelaware; women’s soccerUSC; men’s soccerStanford; men’s water poloCalifornia; women’s volleyballStanford; FCS football James Madison; FBS football Clemson. 

The first Division I winter standings will be released Thursday, March 23.

The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today.  Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. The Directors’ Cup Committee is reviewing the scoring structure for 2016-17 which will be finalized prior to the winter sports standings.
