Jeff Bain, Martin Methodist College, Southeast Region Jeff Bain came to Martin Methodist College (MMC) in 1993 as the special assistant to the president and was responsible for overseeing the MMC athletics department transition from a two-year to a four-year institution before taking over the reigns of the department. Bain is now in is 15th year at the institution. Under Bain's leadership, the athletics department has added six intercollegiate programs, and have captured 12 TranSouth Athletics Conference Championships and two NAIA National Championships. In addition, during his tenure, MMC has purchased 45 acres to build the new RedHawk's East Campus Athletics Complex featuring softball, baseball, tennis, soccer and intramural venues. Bain was awarded the TranSouth Athletics Director of the Year in 1999-00, 2000-01 and 2006-07; he was the NAIA Region XI Athletics Director of the Year in 2000-01; and he was the NACDA Southeast Regional Athletics Director of the Year in 2001-02. Bain is currently the 3rd Vice President of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) and serves on the MMC's Senior Executive Council and the TranSouth Executive Committee. He recently completed a six-year term with the NAIA Region XI Management Committee, where he served as Chair and sat on two NAIA national councils.

Debby DeAngelis, California State University East Bay, West Region Debby De Angelis has led the California State University East Bay athletics program-made up of six men's teams and nine women's teams-since July, 2001. In addition to her responsibilities for the university as director of athletics, De Angelis serves as vice president of the California Pacifi c Conference. CSUEB is a dual member competing in both NAIA and NCAA Division III. In the NCAA, De Angelis serves as vice president of the Association of Division III Independents and on the NCAA Division III Working Group for Membership Issues. Within the NAIA, she is vice chair of the Region II Management Council, an at-large member of the National Council of Collegiate Administrators, the Cal Pac Conference liaison for women's basketball and has served as the tournament director of the Cal Pac Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships the past three years. Most recently she was selected to represent the Cal Pac on the newly formed National Administrative Council. Last year, she was elected by the NAIA Council of President's to serve on the Gender Equity Committee. She also chaired the conference's recent search for a new commissioner. Internationally, De Angelis is a member of the Youth Commission for FISA (international rowing federation) and served as an offi cial for the last two Olympic games. Locally she is a member of the Hayward Rotary Club.

Mike Fratzke, Indiana Wesleyan University, Central Region Mike Fratzke has served at the helm of the Indiana Wesleyan University athletics department for 20-plus years. When he came to IWU in 1984, there was just one new building among many older ones on campus. Since that time, over 20 new buildings have been built, including the 120,000 square foot Recreation and Wellness Center. Last year a 73,000+ square foot Indoor Sports Complex was built to accommodate spring sports practices. Year after year, Indiana Wesleyan teams are competitive in their conference and are often nationally ranked. In 2006-07, the Wildcats won or tied for 10 of 14 Mid-Central Conference (MCC) championships, took home the MCC All-Sports Trophy for the sixth consecutive year and finished 25th in the prestigious U.S. Sports Academy Directors' Cup standings. In 2000, Fratzke was inducted into the LeTourneau Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a basketball coach and athletics director. He is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Hall of Fame and has twice received regional athletics director awards from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). He is currently the president of the MCC, is the NAIA Region VIII Council of Affiliated Conferences and Independents representative and serves on the NAIA Champions of Character committee. He most recently served as President of the NAIA Athletic Director's Association.

H. "Skip" Lord, Houghton College, Northeast Region H. "Skip" Lord came to Houghton College in 1987 as head coach of volleyball and women's basketball. In 1990, he became assistant athletics director and moved up to the athletics director spot in 1993. In 1998, Lord was promoted to associate vice president, overseeing athletics and conferences, while he continues to coach the women's basketball team. During his 14 years as athletics director, Houghton has sent 28 different teams to National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national tournaments, including the four by the women's basketball team, under Lord's leadership. Lord has also overseen the development of The Alumni Athletic Complex, the "Field of Dreams" alternate site for soccer, a new cross country course, a 2,200-square-foot fitness center and an 800-square-foot weight training room. Lord is an active leader in the American Mideast Conference and in the NAIA at both the regional and national levels. He has been instrumental in developing and implementing the NAIA's "Champions of Character" program, establishing Houghton as one of the 13 original national Program Centers. In 2001-02, Lord was the recipient of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics ADOY Award. The NAIA has recognized him as Regional Athletic Director of the Year twice, most recently in 2006-07.
