CLEVELAND -- The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) has announced that CBS Sports College Football Analyst Gary Danielson and ESPN/ABC Analyst Julie Foudy will emcee the awards luncheons at the 44th Annual NACDA Convention. The Convention will take place Thursday-Sunday, June 18-21 at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Danielson will emcee the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Awards Luncheon sponsored by NCAA Football on Friday, June 19, and Foudy will emcee the James J. Corbett Awards Luncheon sponsored by the National Invitation Tournament and Coca-Cola on Saturday, June 20.

danielsonDanielson, a 13-year National Football League veteran and former Purdue University quarterback, joined CBS Sports as lead analyst for the CBS Television Network’s coverage of college football in 2006.

After retiring from the NFL, Danielson joined ESPN as a college football analyst. He continued to work in that capacity for ESPN/ABC Sports until 2006 when he joined CBS Sports to call games alongside Verne Lundquist. The two are now the network’s No. 1 broadcast tandem for Southeastern Conference football telecasts. He also works as the college football radio analyst for “Mad Dog Unleashed” with Chris Russo on Sirius XM Radio where he appears weekly during the college football season.

In Danielson’s 13 NFL seasons, he split time between the Detroit Lions and the Cleveland Browns. He totaled 13,764 yards and 81 touchdowns in 101 games as a professional and ranks fourth in passing yards and touchdowns in Detroit Lions history.

foudyFoudy, one of the most decorated female soccer players in the world and a 1994 graduate of Stanford University, currently serves as an analyst for ESPN/ABC.

Foudy, a 17-year veteran of the U.S. Women’s National Team, is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time World Cup Champion. She was a captain for 13 of her 17 years on the team.

Foudy was one of the founding players of the first-ever Women’s Professional Soccer League (the WUSA) and captained the San Diego Spirit. She was the only voting player representative on the WUSA Board of Governors.

In 2006, Foudy and her husband launched The Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy, which offers week-long programs for girls, ages 12-18. The Academy combines soccer instruction and leadership training.

Foudy is Past President of the Women’s Sports Foundation and was recently named by The Sporting News as one of the “Most Powerful People” in sports.
