2:45-3:30 pm, 3:30-4:15 pm, 4:15-5:00 pm Create and Execute a Successful Group Ticket Sales Program Group ticket sales programs have represented the greatest sales growth for sports organizations in recent years and should be a priority for college athletics departments that have a need to increase attendances and revenues. This interactive presentation will focus on group ticket sales best practices and strategies, including how to leverage specialty programs, create successful ticket fund raisers and execute successful theme events. Creating an Exciting Atmosphere on a Limited Budget The purpose of this session is to add elements to your game-day presentation that will create excitement with minimal cost. The session will be geared toward basketball, but the ideas can be tailored to any sport. "Do What Tastes Right" - A Men's Basketball Single Game Promotion Success Story The University of Tampa and Wendy's partnered to promote Spartan basketball. For UT, building a relationship with Wendy's led to the largest home attendance for a single game and it landed Wendy's free local TV news exposure, while creating a sales bump at the Wendy's store located near campus. Marketing and Branding a New Head Coach This session will provide the resources necessary to develop a comprehensive plan to market and brand a new coach. This plan can be accomplished with little to no budget and will begin from the initial hire through the season finale. A positive marketing impression the first season will set the tone for many years to come. Marketing Successfully and Efficiently in a Small College/Community Setting This session will outline the components and strategies necessary to obtain significant external funding for small college programs located in smaller and more rural communities. Strategies for developing a multi-dimensional approach and developing the networks and constituencies necessary for successfully obtaining significant external funding with minimal staff will be outlined. New Revenue Generating Ideas The New Revenue Generating Session will include discussion on increasing the bottom line. These out-of-the-box ideas can be used for small and large universities across the county. Building financial support through corporate partnership programs will boost profitability with emphasis on cultivating new relationships.
Single Day Successes in Olympic Sports An open forum to share and discuss single-day successes in Olympic Sports. Topics will include how to plan, facilitate and manage one-day events to help increase attendance, atmosphere and awareness of Olympic sports. Participants will be encouraged to share thoughts and ideas in an effort to spark an open discussion.
Single Day Successes in Women's Basketball Session will provide Association members an outline of ticket promotions and marketing tactics to sell ticket inventory for an individual game. Details will be provided on the conceptual development and implementation challenges presented by each promotion. A limited amount of time will review game atmosphere promotions with ticket sales crossover.
