CEFMA Announces Board of Director Updates|

CLEVELAND -- The Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA) announced today that Liberty University Senior Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations, Mickey Guridy, and University of Wisconsin Senior Assistant Athletics Director, Events and Facilities, Tim Wise, have been named to four-year terms on the Association's Board of Directors.
Guridy is in his 18th year in the athletics department at Liberty, including a four-month stint as interim director of athletics, and he has been heavily involved with recent updates to Liberty's athletics facilities. Wise has more than 16 years of experience in Division I college athletics as an event manager, facilities director and administrator, and has been at Wisconsin since 2008.
"CEFMA is pleased to welcome Mickey Guridy and Tim Wise to its Board of Directors," said current CEFMA President Andrea Williams, associate commissioner at the Big Ten Conference. "Mickey and Tim bring a wealth of athletics administrative experience coupled with diverse professional backgrounds to our Association and will make an immediate impact. Both have been actively involved with CEFMA as Association members, and we are excited to have them serve on our Board."
Guridy and Wise will serve on the CEFMA Board until 2015. They join the rest of the 2011-12 Board already in place, which includes First Vice President Lisa Sweany, director of athletics, Armstrong Atlantic State University; Second Vice President Dawn Stewart, director of athletics, Capital University; Third Vice President Brett Hickman, assistant athletics director - event management & facilities, Wake Forest University; Immediate Past President Tim O'Connell, senior associate director of athletics, University of Dayton; Past President Steve Adams, assistant athletics director - internal operations, Wake Forest University; Donyale Canada, associate commissioner - women's basketball operations and sport programs, Mid-American Conference; Brendan Fouracre, associate athletics director for facilities and operations, University of Cincinnati; Suzy Mason, associate athletics director - event management/facilities operations, University of Arizona; Mike Snyder, assistant director of athletics for internal operations, Oberlin College; and John David Wicker, senior associate athletics director - chief operating officer, San Diego State University.
CEFMA will hold its fourth annual Convention on June 24-25 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. The Convention precedes the 47th Annual National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Convention which takes place June 25-28 at the same site.
